Jessica is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Jessica completed her Bachelors of Science in Law Enforcement at Minnesota State University-Mankato and worked in law enforcement for 17 years. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling at Crown College. She has completed her Graduate Certification in Play Therapy from Bethel University. She is in training to become a Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy. Jessica is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Experiential Play Therapy, the Safe & Sound Protocol, Level 1 Thera-Play, and Trust Based Relational Intervention for caregiver support.
Jessica works with children, adolescents, adults, and families to encourage play and connection. She offers support for a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, attachment, relationship stress, and adjustment. Jessica has a background in law enforcement and enjoys supporting other members of law enforcement, dispatch, first responders, and correction offices with their unique experiences. She enjoys helping clients find healing, while offering empathy and encouragement. Jessica uses a person-centered and experiential approach to support clients' unique strengths. She is passionate about empowering every individual to be their authentic self and to feel encouraged in reaching their goals.
Jessica has two dogs and enjoy spending time with her family, playing sports outside, and being active. Jessica enjoys reading when she has time. Her favorite activities are paddle boarding, going to the lake, running, and spending time with family and friends.
