Our collaborative child custody evaluation team consists of psychologists, therapists and social workers that work together in an extensive evaluation process to make the best recommendations as to the child(ren)’s overall mental health.
The team will collect information through face to face interviews, completion of forms, observations with and without children present, records deemed pertinent to the individuals being evaluated and information from collateral sources.
Each parent is afforded the opportunity to present their concerns and their desires for their child(ren) and child(ren)’s desires will be considered when appropriate.
The team then considers all information pertinent to the case and makes a collective child centered recommendation to the Court.
Child Custody Evaluations are billed at an hourly rate and can often take several months to complete depending on the complexity of the case. Some testing, if necessary, can be completed in house, expediting the process.
